December 12, 2017 + 7:00 – 9:00 AM
Imagine a world where business shifts from being the “best in the world” to being “best for the world.” At the December 12 Kitsap Business Forum, local businesses will consider purpose alongside profit and hear how social impacts create value for the organization and the world. Flourishing: Business as a Force for Good will have a panel discussion as well as facilitated table conversations to share how local companies have integrated corporate social responsibility into strategic business decisions.
About the Panelists
Panelists include Emily Olson, senior vice president of risk management at Kitsap Bank; Lisa Stirrett, artist and owner of Glass Arts Studio; and Shannon Bruce, CPCC, PCC, executive/team coach, and CEO of StoryBridge, Inc. Each has a compelling story of their force for good and how they chose their social responsibility path.
- Stories from local companies (entrepreneurial, small, and large) using their businesses as a force for good
- Perspectives on and mindset of business goals from profit to purpose with impact for the local community and beyond
- Steps you can take to have your business flourish as a force for good
In addition, various other local businesses will host individual table conversations. Kathleen Gordon, executive director of Silverdale Chamber of Commerce, and April Ihde, relationship banker at Kitsap Bank, will facilitate the program.
Companies can make a profit while being a place that brings hope and optimism for the future. Join in this conversation with local businesses who will engage your mind, connect to your heart, and create an experience that calls forth action.
The Kitsap Business Forum is held at Kitsap Golf & Country Club, 3885 NW Golf Club Hill Road, Bremerton. Networking begins at 7 a.m. The program starts at 7:30 a.m. and finishes at 9 a.m. The forum is free. All interested in attending can register online at http://KitsapBusinessForum.com.
